The Beatmakers are the south coast's most sensational party band! We are guaranteed to get fingers snapping and toes tapping with our floor-filling, feet-thrilling grooves!

At a Beatmakers show you can expect to hear a bit of everything from soul classics by the like of Aretha Franklin, Otis Redding and Ray Charles, to funk anthems by James Brown, Curtis Mayfield and Sly & the Family Stone at the same time as getting down and dirty with party tunes from Michael Jackson, Kool & the Gang and Stevie Wonder and modern spins on the retro theme from artists such as Amy Winehouse, Jamiroquai and Joss Stone. We've got tunes for all occasions to get you up out of your seat - we dare you to sit still while we play!

The Beatmakers started out life in the south's explosive soul scene in 2005 playing to crowds at the region's best loved clubs including Portsmouth's Wedgewood Rooms (Hipshaker, NYE 2006/2007), Southampton's top venues The Brook and the Soul Cellar and Brighton's seafront Casablanca club. The band plays regularly at Southsea's brilliant small live music venue and best kept secret, The Cellars at Eastney and have in recent years played at the annual Isle of Wight Festival.

Nowadays you are just as likely to find The Beatmakers rocking a marquee, hall or hotel function room in one of the countless private functions we do each year. We've been lucky enough to perform at some great weddings, parties and celebrations over the years and we guarantee the soundtrack to a great night!
